A new round of lineup confirmations give us a better picture of where some drivers will be next season. With only two rounds remaining in the 2017 season, a confirmation from Renault and Haas shows a few drive changes.

Kevin Magnussen will be leaving Renault at the end of the season, despite having been offered a seat with the team. He will make the move to the Haas F1 Team. Jolyon Palmer will remain with the French team for his second year with the new constructor. Nico Hülkenberg will be taking the other Renault seat, as he leaves Force India behind.

Magnussen will be racing alongside Romain Grosjean in 2017, as Esteban Gutiérrez finds himself off of the team for next year. This leaves Esteban Gutiérrez as a likely candidate for one of the Manor seats in 2017, as the team may confirm Pascal Wehrlein as their driver, but may abandon Esteban Ocon.

Ocon is rumored to be heading over to Force India to take Hülkenberg’s vacant seat for the season. This would make Sauber the only other team, besides Manor, which has no confirmed lineup for 2017. The Swiss team is unlikely to make any driver changes unless one of their drivers were to move to another team. That doesn’t appear to be in the cards at this point, meaning that Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson will likely be confirmed before the end of the season.

Gutiérrez may be on the bubble for 2017, as it’s still possible for a pay-driver or a driver who carries move sponsorship backing to take one of the Manor seats. If that’s the case, then Gutiérrez would be without a seat of 2017, meaning that he would need to sit out for the year.
