Recent reports suggest that McLaren’s Ron Dennis could find himself out of a job sooner than expected. An emergency meeting with the board members of McLaren will reportedly be held on Friday night to decide whether the team should suspend Dennis from his position as chief executive.

Last month, McLaren informed Dennis that his contract with the team will not be renewed after it expires. As a result, the team were going to place Dennis on gardening leave until his contract expires. Dennis reportedly filed in the High Court in London seeking an injunction to prevent the company from putting him on leave.

The latest reports suggest that Dennis was unable to get an injunction and that the company is now looking to suspend Dennis as a result of his legal action. However, there are no official documents or comments to support these reports.

Further reports have suggested that Dennis is currently seeking financial backing so that he can purchase the McLaren F1 Team. These reports have not been confirmed.
