The FIA will be investigating how securely parts are attached to the cars, after many incidents of loose parts flying off the cars at the Bahrain Grand Prix. The FIA will also be investigating the wheel guns used by the teams on the back of multiple pit stop errors this season.

The Haas F1 Team had the most notable debris issue during the Bahrain Grand Prix, with a large amount of loose parts having been caught by TV cameras as the car disintegrated on the main straight. The issue was so bad that the team had to make a third unplanned pitstop to remove debris from the sidepods.

However, Haas is far from the only team to have issues with keeping the bodywork on the car this season, with Ferrari suffering with a loose bargeboard during practice and onboard cameras revealing the Toro Rosso losing an attachment from the Halo. Questions about the bodywork started during pre-season testing when photos from the pitlane appeared to show the Red Bull car missing its bargeboard after running some laps.

The FIA will investigate the issue to ensure that it is not causing dangerous driving conditions. In addition, the FIA will also look at the wheel guns used by the teams. This comes because of multiple pit stop issues in the first two races of the season.

Most notable was the pit stop accident that injured a Ferrari mechanic during the Bahrain Grand Prix. However, Ferrari also had pit stop issues in practice for the race, as did the McLaren team, losing a wheel. Haas also had some issues with pit stops at the Australian Grand Prix which led to a double retirement for the team.
