The new F1 TV streaming service will not be available for the Australian Grand Prix due to some delays in the development process force the company to move into the testing phase. The original plan was for the service to be available in time for the first race of the season in Australia.

The F1 TV service was announced earlier in the year and will be an affordable option for many Formula One fans to follow the action of the grand prix weekend online. Unfortunately, the service will only be available in select regions due to the current broadcaster rights in some regions.

There is no set deadline for when the much-anticipated service will become fully active, but the goal is to complete testing as soon as possible. If all goes well with testing, it’s likely that the service could be available as soon as the second race weekend in Bahrain.

Instead of launching publicly, the new F1 TV service will be undergoing some beta testing during the Australian Grand Prix weekend. The test will be done by internal staff located around the world with the goal of stress testing the service and ironing out any bugs that may come out.
