ESPN has released their list of the top 100 athletes and the results may shock you, as only two Formula One drivers make it onto the list. Among them is Lewis Hamilton, who ranked surprisingly low on the list.

The list was compiled using a formula that includes endorsements, social media followings and internet search priority to determine the rank of the top 100. The list was topped by Cristiano Ronaldo in the top spot. The top ten also included LeBron James, Lionel Messi, Roger Federer, Phil Mickelson, Neymar, Usain Bolt, Kevin Durant, Rafael Nadal and Tiger Woods.

Only four of the 100 athletes on the list were from motor racing and all four ranked in the bottom half of the table. Only two of the racing drivers on the list were from Formula One, with the other two coming from NASCAR. Dale Earnhardt Jr from NASCAR was the highest ranked auto racing athlete, ranked in 69 place. Lewis Hamilton was the highest ranked Formula One driver, but still surprisingly low at just 84th position. Jimmie Johnson was close behind in position 86 and Felipe Massa ranked at the bottom of the four drivers in position 92.
