Following a horrific accident during a FIA British Formula 4 race at Donnington Park on April 16, 17 year old Englishman, Billy Monger, has been left fighting for his life in the hospital. The accident has resulted in doctors amputating both of Billy’s legs.

Onboard footage from Billy’s car shows the young driver colliding into the rear of Patrik Pasma’s stopped car. The collision left Billy trapped within his car for 90 minutes with medical crews working to extract the teenager. Billy was airlifted to a hospital in Nottingham. He remains in critical condition, but is considered stable. Doctors have placed him in an induced coma.

A crowdfunding campaign has been set up on the JustGiving website with the goal to raise £260,000 towards care, treatment and therapies that will help Billy. In a single day, the campaign raised over £300,000, which was donated by about 8000 supporters.

Please show your support for Billy and his family by donating to this campaign. There’s no such thing as a small donation. Every little bit helps.
