Looking to pick up some genuine Formula One parts? Well, now’s your chance! The assets of the defunct Manor F1 Team will be going to online auction. The auction will be organized by Gordon Brothers Europe and feature a wide collection of previous team equipment and other supplies.
Among the equipment going to auction are four rolling chassis show cars from the 2015 and 2016 seasons. These cars are unpowered and have never been on the track and equivalent cars from the Caterham auction sold for in the low five-digits. There will also be a number of car components available for purchase including steering wheels, tubs, wheel rims, tyres, nosecones, panels, engine covers, rear wings and more.
The team will also be auctioning off previous pit lane equipment, likely including helmets, wheel guns, jacks and other things. Engineering equipment will also be available, along with team clothing and general merchandise. If you are just looking to pick up some cheap office equipment, office furniture and IT equipment will also be available, along with travel gear. The team’s trailers and hospitality area will also be for sale.
But perhaps most intriguing is the team’s 2017 wind tunnel model. This is really the only part of the 2017 car that we saw before the team’s future was eliminated, so it will likely be a favourite among bidders. The 6:1 scale model would be the ultimate piece of any collector’s gallery.
At the moment, there are not a lot of details about the auction, but more details about the auction will become available on the Gordon Brothers website.
