Toto Wolff, the head of Mercedes-Benz motorsport, has sat down in front of the Mercedes camera to discuss what lies ahead in the 2017 season, reflect on the busy winter break and go over some other various talking points from around the world of motorsport.
“I think the balance between Valtteri [Bottas] and Lewis [Hamilton] works,” said Wolff when chatting about the team’s 2017 driver lineup. “They are two very different personalities and, for us, it was important to fill Nico’s [Rosberg] shoes. Nico had a certain role in the team and Valtteri pretty much fits into that. We believe that the dynamics between the two drivers is going to work well. They respect each other.”
Wolff also breaks down what has been a very busy past few months for the team and discusses the development on the team’s 2017 challenger. He also talk politics, briefly discussing Liberty Media acquisition of the sport. As well, he also discusses events outside of Formula One, such as the Mercedes DTM cars and the latest edition to the Mercedes young driver program.
