Nico Rosberg was able to start out the season strong, with the help of some mechanical failures on the other car. However, Lewis Hamilton was able to cut into the championship lead and take the lead for summer break. Things weren’t so smooth for the rest of the season, as more issues put him behind Rosberg again. Check out the thrilling World Drivers’ Championship battle in this infographic.

Neither Ferrari driver really had the edge over Daniel Ricciardo, who managed to take third place in the championship. Max Verstappen wasn’t able to get fourth in the championship, but he was able to improve his performance massively once he swapped into the Red Bull car to take over Daniil Kvyat. Kvyat took a performance dive following the switch, suffering to collect points.

Felipe Massa, despite having a decent start to the season, went through a bit of a points drought, allowing his teammate to gain a lot more points. Fernando Alonso steadily gained points throughout the season, as did Nico Hülkenberg.
