There is no denying that Mercedes certainly had a commanding lead in the World Constructors’ Championship for the third consecutive season. However, there were a few teams which swapped positions during the course of the season, as the infographic highlights.

Ferrari got off to a good start in the season, although not as close to the Mercedes drivers as they would have liked or anticipated. Despite the good start, it all fell apart for the Italian team just before the summer break, as they were overtaken by Red Bull and were unable to take back the lead. It was a similar story for Williams, who lost out to Force India late in the season, as well as Toro Rosso, who lost out to McLaren.

Haas made a strong start for their debut season, but it was short lived, as the rest of the season was spent earning little points. Renault did a fair job in their first season since taking over Lotus, although they surely didn’t score as many points as they would have liked. Things looked promising for Manor, as they were set to finish ahead of Sauber, until Felipe Nasr collected two points in Brazil, leaving Manor to finish last in the World Constructors’ Championship table of 2016.
