Neither of the first two participants in the Red Bull Racing Sim Challenge were able to beat the benchmark time set by former F1 driver, David Coulthard. Both of the previous participants were involved in the motorsport industry, but can someone from outside of motorsport be the first to beat the target time? It’s Sigala’s turn to try out the Red Bull simulator.

Famous members around the Formula One paddock will take the wheel of the Red Bull Formula One simulator for The Red Bull Racing Sim Challenge series. Former Red Bull driver, David Coulthard, started the challenge by setting a benchmark lap time of 1:17.960 at Red Bull’s virtual recreation of the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Participants in the challenge will attempt to beat Coulthard’s lap time. However, beating the lap time will not be easy, given that Coulthard has competed in 247 Grand Prix over the course of his 14 year Formula One career.

This time we see someone from outside of Formula One in the simulator for the first time in this challenge. Bruce Fielder, known professionally as Sigala, gets his turn inside of the simulator. Sigala is a British DJ and record producer who has produced four singles over the past two years. He is best known for this debut single “Easy Love”, which topped the the UK Singles Chart a week after its release.

Should Sigala quit is musical career to pursue a career in motorsport? The first step would be beating Coulthard’s time in the third Red Bull Racing Sim Challenge.
