With the first pre-season test in Barcelona still a little over a week away, it feels like the 2016 Formula One season will never arrive. The off-season is always a tough time for the Formula One addicts, but Ferrari has released an audio clip that will satisfy your hunger for Formula One.

Earlier today, Scuderia Ferrari gave their social media fans a glimpse of what’s to come in 2016. The clip was half a minute in length and featured the new Ferrari power unit being fired up in the factory. The video included some shots of the technical geniuses behind the scenes, working to get the engine powered up. However, due to the super classified nature of the development process in Formula One, the shots of the 2016 challenger have been blurred.

The 2016 Ferrari car has not been revealed yet, but is set to be revealed during a special online car launch on an unconfirmed day. This was announced in the team’s Ready Set Red campaign, which has received large global attention from fans. The winner of the Ready Set Red competition will be announced on February 12.

Ferrari’s 2016 championship challenger will make its debut on the track with the majority of the grid on February 22 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain. Hopefully we will see a car capable of challenging Mercedes for the World Championship titles in this highly anticipated season.
