The reigning World Drivers’ Championship title holder, Lewis Hamilton, has been spotted in several different locations since he snatched his third championship title. His most recent appearance was on American television, where he gave his fans the first glimpse of his music.

Last week, Hamilton appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, an American late night talk show, where he shared a story about the start of his career and a familiar tale about himself being stopped by police. He appeared on the show along with Sacha Baron Cohen, more commonly known for his character, Borat. Prior to his late night television appearance, he was spotted at a Toronto Raptors NBA game.

On Sunday, Hamilton appeared on CBS in the American newsmagazine television program, 60 Minutes. The topic of discussion was Hamilton’s relationship with his father and how it changed when Anthony Hamilton was no longer his racing manager. Anthony also appeared on the air, describing how he was more of a manager than a father figure and how that was vital for his son’s success in motorsport.

Not only did Hamilton use his 60 Minutes appearance as a chance to come clean about his relationship with his dad, but he also gave his fans the first peak at his music that he has been creating. As many recall, Hamilton became more involved in the music scene, sharing photos from a recording studio to social media. Up until now, the only video footage that he had of Hamilton singing, was a video supposedly shot at a night club at which the Formula One star was singing.

Hamilton’s new found love of music has reminded many of Jacques Villeneuve, a former Canadian Formula One driver, who had a brief musical career in 2007. The Canadian recorded an album that flopped, having sold only a little more than 800 units by the end of the year. Like Villeneuve, Hamilton claims that music has always been his hobby, but has just started to become more of a hobby in recent months. As he spends more and more time in the recording studio, it will only be a matter of time until he releases his music, maybe even an album, to the public.

Thanks to CBS and 60 Minutes, you can listen to a small segment from the show and some of Hamilton’s music.
