The greatest weekend of the Formula One season has come to an end, fueling the conspiracy theorists against Mercedes. It seemed as though it was going to be another Lewis Hamilton weekend, but a confusing team strategy call to pit him in the closing laps under safety car conditions allowed Nico Rosberg to take his third consecutive victory in Monaco. Hamilton, despite dominating the race, dropped to the bottom step of the podium. Clear frustration from the Brit, as he parked his car in the corner of the track for a long time after the race and failed to spray champagne during the podium ceremonies. No doubt, this story will make its way through the headlines in the coming weeks.

Although hindered by rain during some sessions, the earlier part of the weekend was dominated by the same three drivers. Red Bull’s car was much better suited for Monaco than it has been in the previous five rounds. Once again, Pastor Maldonado found himself in the garage early on, failing to complete yet another race in the 2015 season. McLaren was finally able to score their first points since partnering with Honda. Jenson Button took home four points for his eighth place finish. Could this be improvement or just another one of those Monaco Miracles?
