It wasn’t the most thrilling of weekends in China, as Lewis Hamilton dominated all of the sessions. Mercedes managed to score a 1-2 finish, with Ferrari scoring a 3-4. It was a disappointing race for Renault, with two of their power units failing. Yet another disappointing race for Pastor Maldonado, as he retired from the race after a collision with Jenson Button. Button was penalized after the race for causing the collision. The race had a disappointing finish, ending behind the safety car that was brought out after Max Verstappen parked his Toro Rosso car on the straight.
