No change in the Williams drive lineup this year. We will see Felipe Massa and Valteri Bottas together again. Williams had a spectacular 2014 season. They are surely the most improved team, compared to their 2013 performance. The team should be able to supply its drivers with a pretty decent car.
Felipe Massa was a little bit disappointing last season for his first year with Williams. He was the victim of many unfortunate crashes and collisions. We really didn’t see the typical Massa performance from him. Despite his difficulties in 2014, he still has a massive Brazilian fan base. Fans will surely help boost team moral, especially in events like the Brazilian Grand Prix. Valteri Bottas surprised everyone in 2014 with a great season. For the first time in quite a few seasons, Williams has a car that is capable of competing with the top teams. Bottas piloted the car to a few great podium finishes and some good grid positions.
The duo is both good at qualifying and good in the race. They are great at working as a team. Excluding a bit of team orders in Malaysia, Bottas and Massa co-operate well together and don’t make moves based on what is best for them, but rather what is best for the team. We didn’t see them tangle at all in 2014 and if they keep that up this season, Williams will have a great finish in the World Constructors’ Championship. Overall, the team’s lineup is great.
