After finishing third and fifth in the 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix and battling with some of the top teams, everyone thought that Force India was going to have a season full of podiums. However, this dream never came true; the team had a regular season and took their regular position in the World Constructors’ Championship. They will be back in 2015 with Sergio Pérez and Nico Hülkenberg, who put on a great show at times. Force India is a backmarker team, so it is pretty much expected that they won’t be up at the top challenging for positions. But in 2014, they managed to score the most points of their Formula One career.

Hülkenberg and Pérez are both very evenly matched drivers, but Hülkenberg appears to be the most consistent of the pair. He managed to finish in the points for the majority of the races, finishing in fifth or sixth most of the times. Consistent drivers are the ones that finish well in championships. Pérez is very inconsistent and doesn’t get as many points as his teammate. He is also a bit of a risky driver. He will make moves without necessarily thinking of the outcome and it has ruined his and other drivers’ races a few times, like we saw in the United States Grand Prix.

There shouldn’t be too much of a difference in the team’s performance compared to their performance previously. They are a backmarker team with an average lineup. Sadly, it would take a miracle for this team to have any success in the sport of Formula One right now. However, on a positive note, the team has been slowly improving over the years. Who knows? In a few more years, we might some day be welcoming Force India to the top of the championship standings.
