Formula One is a dog eat dog world. Each driver is trying to beat each other to the finish line, seeking nobility and fame. But there is no bigger rivalry than a rivalry between father and son. Often being pressured to become their family’s racing king.

Throughout the course of Formula One history, we have been granted multiple father and son battles. We’ve witnessed Graham and Damon Hill, Gilles and Jacques Villeneuve, Jack, Gary and David Brabham, Mario and Michael Andretti and many more.

However, one has been the center of the attention in the past weeks. After living in his father’s shadow for the duration of his nine-year racing career, Nico Rosberg managed to put another win under his belt in Austria and therefore beat his father’s career. With six career wins, Nico has surpassed Keke Rosberg’s 5 career wins that he earned from the 1978 to 1986 seasons. With more wins on the way, Nico may be able to join his father as a Formula One World Champion if he can hold off his teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Although he has more wins, Nico’s career has already lasted 27 races more than Keke’s 128 race career. We will for sure see the Rosberg VS Rosberg battle continue as Nico strives to become the racing king of the Rosberg family. Best of luck to Nico on his quest.
